Microchipping

Peace of mind with Microchipping

Microchipping is a legal requirement for some pets – and has many benefits, too.

Did you know that since 2016 all dogs must have a microchip? From 10th June 2024, this law will include all cats.

Microchip technology is universally recognised. This means that all vets, rescue centres and wardens have scanners that can identify your pet. Many pet lovers microchip their pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises. That’s because the stored information links a pet to its true owner. If your pet ever goes missing, it ensures that you can be reunited as quickly and easily as possible.

FAQs

Often microchipping can take place at the same time as vaccinations or neutering, which reduces the number of vet visits your pet needs to make. However, we treat each pet on an individual basis.
The microchip is injected under the skin of the neck. Although only about the size of a grain of rice, the procedure can feel uncomfortable. However, we always ensure that your pet’s experience is as good as possible, and once in place, the result will give you and your family peace of mind. If your pet ever goes missing, it ensures that you can be reunited as quickly and easily as possible.
Microchipping is included in our VIP Membership otherwise it is £35.
