The VetShack Story

Rob and Rachel grew up in Kent and have worked as veterinary surgeons since 1997. They’ve always enjoyed having lots of pets, so truly understand how they become loved and valued as important members of the family. They also know how worrying it feels when a special pet is unwell.

Experience has persistently shown them that building long-standing and trusting relationships is the best way to deliver preventative health care, advice and treatment for your pet, and they can’t wait to meet you.

Meet the Team

Rob

Having wanted to be a vet from a very young age, Rob always knew he would enjoy the variety of being a vet as well as having a positive impact on animal’s lives.

After 27 years of being a vet, Rob is still as passionate today about working together with clients to get the very best outcomes for their pets.

“Having the opportunity to open VetShack means that we will be able to offer personalised, bespoke care and service alongside leading edge technologies”.

Rachel

I always wanted to be a vet and still feel very privileged every day to have such a great job where I can help make a difference to pets and their families.

I met Rob at Vet School in Liverpool a long time ago and we have been working together since 2006! We now have 3 amazing children together and far too many animals and we are very excited to be opening VetShack.

Lauren

I started working within veterinary practice when I was 16 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2017. At home I have lots of animals, both domestic pets and livestock.

I love spending time with them and being outdoors but am also busy with two young daughters!

My particular areas of interest are behaviour and stress free handling. I have worked with Rob and Rachel before and I am really excited to be involved with VetShack.

Lorna

From a young age I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals as I grew up with many pets.

I first started working in a veterinary practice at weekends whilst I was at college studying for my Animal Management Diploma which I obtained in 2017.

My favourite aspects of my role are caring for the inpatients before and after surgery as well as laboratory work.

Outside of work I spend my time with my two dogs, horse riding, running and renovating my first home. I have worked with Rob and Rachel before and I am excited to be part of the VetShack team.

Lucy

I started working within the veterinary industry in 2018 having always known I wanted to work with animals.

I initially worked for Yorkshire Vets but moved back to Kent in 2021 shortly before beginning my RVN training and  qualified as a registered Veterinary Nurse in the Spring of 2024.

My main interests are hospitalised patient care, anaesthesia and nurse clinics. I’m thrilled to be joining the dedicated team at VetShack and am looking forward to meeting all your lovely pets. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner Rob and our Cocker Spaniel, Groot on the farm and in the countryside.

Holly

I first started working in a Veterinary Practice when I was 16 whilst studying for my A-levels

I then went on to qualify as a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) in September 2021.

My main interests in practice include anaesthesia, radiography and inpatient hospitalised care.

Outside of work I am busy looking after my two young dogs Buzz and Woody and I also enjoy going to the gym.

I have worked with Rob and Rachel before and I am very excited to be a part of the VetShack team.

Camille

I have been Nursing since 2010 and qualified as an RVN from The Royal Veterinary College in 2013. I then went on to achieve my BSc the following year.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. At home I have a mini Shetland, a cat, a dog and a puppy. I love spending time with them and am kept very busy with them and my two daughters.

I love everything about being a veterinary nurse but if I had to pick 3 areas of interest they would be nursing clinics, surgery and in-patient care.

I have worked with Rob and Rachel before and I am delighted to be a part of the Vet Shack Team.

Hayley

I started seeing practice in 2006 and soon realised that I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinary nurse.

I had to wait to finish school before I could start my training and qualified as an RVN in 2013. I love the variation of the job but have a particular interest in imaging, anesthesia and emergency cases. Outside of work I am kept very busy with 2 young children and our lovely black Labrador. I have worked with Rob and Rachel since 2006 and am very excited to be joining the VetShack team.

Elliott

I have known I wanted to be a vet since a young age.

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2022 and started working as a vet in the Kent area. I enjoy the variation of general practice but have a keen interest in internal medicine and preventative healthcare.

Outside of work I enjoy long walks/hiking, travelling, and staying active.

Aidan

I graduated as a vet from The University of Surrey in 2020. I came back home and have worked in the local area since..

t work my main interests lie in soft tissue surgery and to compliment this I have completed a surgical certificate allowing me to take on more than just routine procedures.

Outside of work I enjoy running, and am currently training for another marathon. When I’m not doing this you’ll find me enjoying good food and drink!’.
